Immigration Family Emergency Preparedness Planning – Models and Tools

Languages: English, Spanish, Tagalog
Room: 204

Under the Trump Administration, threats against immigrant families in the U.S. have greatly intensified, and so has their fear. As immigrant communities, two of the best ways to protect ourselves is to join community organizations and our neighbors in the struggle, and also to learn our rights and prepare ourselves for any emergencies. Several NDWA organizations have extensive experience giving emergency preparation workshops to immigrant families, where we share information about our rights and help families create an emergency preparedness plan and fill out the necessary documents to protect their children and loved ones if something were to happen. Join this workshop to learn some of the successful models for immigrant family preparation.
