Languages: English, Spanish, Tagalog, Nepali
Room: 259 & 260

Because of a lack of legal protections, the devaluing of domestic work, and the isolation most domestic workers experience, labor trafficking is much too common is our sector. And in the current political climate, domestic workers in trafficking situations are more fearful of speaking out and face greater barriers to accesing safety and support. Fortunately, several NDWA affiliates have years of experience and have developed innovative strategies to conduct outreach and identify workers in trafficking situations, provide immediate and long term support and leadership development to survivors, and advocate for stronger laws to stop trafficking. In this workshop hear from several anchor organizations in the Beyond Survival campaign about their strategies to stop the trafficking of domestic workers and things your organization can do it identify and support survivors.
