History of Domestic Work: How Sexism and Patriarchy Have Shaped Our Sector

Languages: English, Spanish, Nepali
Room: 263 & 264

NDWA is creating a core political education curriculum that can be used across our alliance – in affiliates and chapters, and in other spaces where domestic workers come together, both online and off. We’re excited to be working with activist-scholars at Smith College to develop this curriculum. The curriculum is ceneterd around the history of domestic work and domestic worker organizing, and includes an interactive digital history timeline. This workshop is one of the workshops in the core curriculum, focused on how sexism and patriarchy have shaped the domestic work sector throughout history and today. Join us to talk about this important topic, and also to provide your feedback on this part of the curriculum!
