ICE is emboldened, DACA is under attack, tens of thousands of migrants are being put in harm’s way, and families continue to be separated at the border. The immigrant rights movement is under assault from all angles, and Trump will surely ramp up his racist attacks on our community as the election approaches. But we are not afraid: Families Belong Together recognizes that in addition to fighting for the families who have been separated, we need to go deeper. We need to work on narrative change to encourage compassion and tell the incredible stories of the families who risk everything for a shot at providing a better life for their children.
