We know that our stories are powerful and have helped win campaigns and changed how people value domestic work and domestic workers. In addition to telling our stories in traditional press, we’re also creating our own media so we can talk about the issues that matter to us. In this workshop hear about two exciting projects to train domestic workers as media makers and create opportunities for us to shape the news and stories that the public hears. In Miami, Women Working Together runs their own weekly radio show featuring domestic workers and other immigrant women. And the MA Coalition of Domestic Workers runs a program to train domestic workers as social media creators. Come to the workshop to learn more!
